Cessione in casa Newcastle, Daryl Murphy saluta i Magpies e si trasferisce a titolo definitivo al Nottingham Forest. Le due squadre non hanno reso note le cifre dell’accordo, l’attaccante irlandese ha firmato un contratto triennale con il club in Championship.

Nella stagione scorsa, quella della promozione, Murphy ha messo a segno cinque reti in quattordici presenze con la maglia dei Magpies. Nella stagione 2014-2015 si è aggiudicato la classifica capocannonieri in Championship, mettendo a segno la bellezza di ventisette reti.
